Our private studio is situated at Level 1, 80 Brisbane Street, lutruwitta, Launceston.  You can find our entrance right next to the entrance of The Centreway Arcade, and opposite Local Hideout Cafe.

As we are situated on an upper level, we do have a small stairwell and are unfortunately not accessible via wheelchair.

Several accessible parking spaces are located a short distance from the studio (Brisbane Street on the “Avenue” and through The Centreway Arcade/Patterson Street West multistory car park).

Please feel free to get in touch with your artist/removalist for assistance that may be required during your visit.

While numbing cream is welcomed, please notify your artist at the time of booking your appointment if you wish to use numbing cream - there are some specifications as to how numbing agents should be applied.

Your artist may require you to complete a test spot prior to your appointment to check for allergens/reactions.

Numbing cream may affect the length of an appointment, please be sure that this is communicated effectively before booking to ensure there is enough time to complete your tattoo.

The basics:

- topical numbing creams will need to be applied 2 hours before an appointment start time.

- apply liberally before wrapping the area with a cling film. Please ensure you arrive to your appointment with the area still wrapped up - your artist will removal and clean the skin before beginning.

- a test spot may be required prior to your appointment - please check with your artist.

- some brands will vary in strength and ingredients. Healed results may be effected if irritation or reactions/allergens may be present. For this reason, final results cannot be guaranteed and clients will need to use topical creams at their own risks.

Getting a tattoo can be uncomfortable, but the level of pain varies depending on the individual and the location of the tattoo. Our artists use techniques to minimize discomfort, and we can provide guidance on how to care for your tattoo after the appointment to minimize any pain or discomfort.

Yes, you must be at least 18 years old to get a tattoo in Australia.

There is no work-around for this one, sorry kiddos.

The healing time for a tattoo varies depending on the individual and the location of the tattoo. Generally, tattoos take 2-4 weeks to heal. Our artists will provide you with aftercare instructions to help speed up the healing process.

Please see our “Aftercare“ tab for more information.

From time to time, our tattoo artists will need to open and close their custom request bookings.

This is to help manage their workloads and scheduling.

Our team takes pride in giving each client the best possible result. To do so, this can take time and often after work hours to prepare. Managing the number of clients each artist has booked in at any one time will help with reducing admin/drawing time - allowing us the most time to prepare for and complete your tattoo. It’s all about that balance!

Generally speaking, pre-drawn flash design bookings will typically stay open. You can find all new flash designs via your desired artist’s Instagram.

Absolutely you can. just touch base with your artist and let them know.

Whilst we can’t wait to meet your mates, please ensure you pick your favourite - we can accomodate one pal per client.

We politely ask that children do not attend your appointment for safety reasons.

We aren’t doctors, but we do know that blood thinners and roaccutane are a no go. Excessive bleeding and trauma (such as tattooing, abrasion, cuts, ect) to compromised skin may cause prolonged healing, infection and may also comprise the final result.

If you are taking medications, please consult with your GP and chat to your artist if you are unsure.

Generally, yes. Scarring may affect the final result as the skin is thinner and less predictable.

Major trauma to the skin such as surgery, burns, ect may be more difficult - however each instance is different.

Generally speaking, keloids cannot be tattooed over.

We still aren’t doctors, however, any skin irritations or conditions cannot be tattooed over at the time of an outbreak.

Skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis and acne will affect the way a tattoo is applied and may cause infection.

Keratosis Polaris is a common skin condition where keratin build up on the pores may appear as small bumps. Keratosis is considered ‘normal’ skin (whatever normal is) and is unlikely to worsen.

Gentle exfoliation in the days leading up to your appointment may help to reduce it’s appearance/texture.

Tattooing over texture may affect the final result.

Please consult with your GP for any concerns.

We do not tattoo people who are pregnant or breastfeeding due to the potential risks involved.

Our tattoo artists take deposits via bank transfer to secure your appointment, and all remaining amounts can be made in cash at the end of your appointment.
